Details
Since the lanthanated tungsten electrodes came into the market, it has received much attention and has a good run in the international welding industry by virtue of its excellent welding performance. The electrical conductivity of lanthanated tungsten electrode is the most approximate to that of thoriated tungsten electrode; therefore, welding operators need not change any welding operation procedures before they allow this kind of electrode to replace thoriated tungsten electrode conveniently and quickly in order to insure them against the radiological hazard of thoriated tungsten electrodes. This transition is just a piece of cake under the condition of either AC or DC. Another advantage of lanthanated tungsten electrode lies in its high durable current and low fire damage rate.
